چکیده
Abstract Background Breast MRI is the imaging modality of choice in patients with palpable breast lesions unequivocal on mammography and ultrasonography. This study aims to evaluate role dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE-MRI) apparent diffusion coefficient mapping characterization differentiation various lesions. prospective observational was conducted a tertiary care hospital between July 2019 June 2021. Sixty-six were undergone scans breasts. The categorized according 5th edition BI-RADS lexicon. sensitivity ADC DCE-MRI determined for category gold standard histopathological findings. Results Of 66 lesions, 36 (54.5%) benign 30 (45.5%) malignant Malignant had mean value 0.939 ± 0.166[SD] × 10 −3 mm 2 /s, 1.891 0.524[SD] /s where unpaired Student t -test showed statistically significant difference P 0.0005. 2.056 0.471[SD] 3 1.314 0.151[SD] 4 0.935 0.119[SD] 5 0.930 0.943[SD] /s. optimal cutoff 1.508 85.7% specificity 94.7%, 1.208 75% 55.2%, 1.064 80% 67.9%, 1.013 82.6%. Differentiation of benign and malignant breast lesions by apparent diffusion coefficient value in mass and non-mass lesions
Background: Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is one of methods in evaluation of breast lesions. We aimed to investigate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values in breast tumors and their accuracy in differentiating benign versus malignant lesions. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 72 patients with 88 breast lesions were investigated by 1.5-T breast MRI from 2015 to 2017 in Athari...
متن کاملImproved diagnostic accuracy of breast MRI through combined apparent diffusion coefficients and dynamic contrast-enhanced kinetics.
This study investigated the relationship between apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measures and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) kinetics in breast lesions and evaluated the relative diagnostic value of each quantitative parameter. Seventy-seven women with 100 breast lesions (27 malignant and 73 benign) underwent both dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI and diffusion weig...
متن کاملThe role of apparent diffusion coefficient values in the differential diagnosis of breast lesions in diffusion-weighted MRI.
PURPOSE We aimed to determine the apparent diffusion coefficients (ADCs) of focal breast lesions on diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) and to evaluate whether ADC measurement can be used to characterize lesions as benign or malignant. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty-one patients between the ages of 18-79 years (mean age, 48.5 years) with 51 histopathologically verified breast ...
متن کاملComparison of Dynamic and Liver-Specific Gadoxetic Acid Contrast-Enhanced MRI versus Apparent Diffusion Coefficients
BACKGROUND Hepatic lesions often present diagnostic connundrums with conventional MR techniques. Hepatobiliary phase contrast-enhanced imaging with gadoxetic acid can aid in the characterization of such lesions. However, quantitative measures describing late-phase enhancement must be assessed relative to their accuracy of hepatic lesion classification. PURPOSE To compare quantitative paramete...
